What can I expect at my first session?
During our first intake session, I will ask questions to gather more demographic more background information about you. By the end of the first session, we will be able to discuss and agree upon treatment goals for you. We will then schedule subsequent therapy sessions.
How long does treatment typically take?
Treatment length is determined on a case by case basis. Some clients see me for 6 months, while the majority of clients establish a continuing relationship for many years. I value establishing long-term relationships with my clients. And as we meet treatment goals, we can adjust the frequency of appointments.
Can I expect quick results?
Clients often start therapy hoping to see quick results. The more willing and motivated you are to change, the more likely you’ll see results. However, establishing new thought patterns and healthy habits takes time, so please be understanding with yourself.
